Actually i'm not so sure about it all, what I do know is:

* Pay 2mths upfront.

* Don't pay mth #11 + #12

If my calculations are correct thats only 11 payments ? On the phone to them now...

Ok they have a new payment system which i'll use my quote as an example:

* 50% NCB = $2,307.77/yr

* Monthly payments = $2,307.77 +10% = $2,538.55 / 10 Payments.

* No "upfront" payments just 10 equal monthly payments = $2,538.55 / 10 = $253.86/mth.

Edit: Got a quote from JustCars for $1,970 so i'll certainly be calling Robyn back at Famous for something "nicer" :D

Yeah Spoke to Robyn when i rang and she was really nice. But could not better the quote even though i told her got a quote from JCI of $1050. Anyhow stuff that quote, did some futher shopping and got $736. HELLO SHOPPERS!!!!!!

AIC insurance. BUT only because the wife works in motor vehicle finance. I would have gone there in the first place but she tells me they are not that competetive when she gets quotes for customers but thought she would give them a try for me and well what do you know. Dont know how you would go. Hey give it a shot.

fellas, i am 18 atm and my dad is considering buying a Skyline GTT 34 for both of us, will any major insurance company insure under my dad and include me as a listed driver, or do i hafta go to a insurer like JC, famous or unique??

if i go to the big ones, sure the premium would be expensive but what are ur estmiations between 3-4k if i am only a listed driver?

I'll be changing from CTP with JC to comprehensive with Shannons since I got a good quote.

Since the policy allows modifications as long as they are legal.. what are some legal mods that can be done? (ie you've done them and listed them on your insurance policy)

Hi guys,

Just wanna enquire, if one is insuring 3rd party Property Plus Fire and theft, does NCB actually count?

In addition, it doesn't seem that by getting 3rd party would allow one to have full coverage - market value is not agreed and JCI quoted only $5000 for my car. Any other insurance companies does 3rd party but give agreed value for a skyline?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Your NCB doesn't count for TTP. Although it does earn you an NCB.

No one will give you an agreed value on TTP fire and theft, thats why

it's so cheap. If you want the full value covered, you need comprehensive.

Whoops, yup meant Third Party the 'C' just popped out of no where.

Officially all mods are 'illegal' unless engineered yeah? Or will "boost controllers" and piggy back ECU's etc be allowed by insurance?

go look at vic roads website. you wont get anyone to ok an ECU however.

For NSW people, apparently AAMI has started offering Third Party + Fire + Theft (with a $5000 theft limit :D ). Might be worth a look for some people who need something better than just third party, but can't afford comprehensive.

LW.
