it was an awesome day

i had some issues with engine bay temps that were causing the coilpacks to crap out, it was probably a bit noisey for people on the pitwall

there was so much track time it was great, i did probably 190km+ on the track

I had a blast. Just went out to watch some mates drive, and having just gotten back from Wakefield Park in NSW, noticed the massive difference in speeds on this track! What great fun :(

Hey I thought I saw you there, did'nt get a chance to say hello because I was off to the servo with my tail between my legs. :D

I was wondering what others were getting along the straight.

Best I got along the front straight was 169km and then along the back straight when the whole track was opened up, got 187km.

Over all, I clocked up 71k's on the track and used up pretty much a full tank of fuel (minus the fuel from brisbane to the track).

I'm lookin forward to the next one and with my track times I did, I was pretty impressed with my outcome.

Next bit of work to be completed on the car now is suspension, rotors and tyres.

Front Straight (start finish line) I was hitting 170km and the back straight I was hitting speed limiter 180+ with approx 200-300m left of the track. That's the only bad thing with having a tiptronic auto is it's hard to get rid of the speed limiter.

I am waiting to see my times for the day, as it felt like I had some scorching hot times considering my car is fairly stock except for zorst, some suspension and Hawke pads. Having said that, there is not much left of my front pads. Driving out of the QR gates, both my depth indicators started to squeel. :( Not to mention my front left tyre. All that's left is a shredded rubber band looking thing wrapped around my wheel. No worries though, I have the Yoko AVS V103 on order. Just have to wait another 4-6 weeks for them to get here from Japan.

Thanks for a great day Paul. Heaps of runs, approx 180km travelled on track (almost too much), and it was great to meet some new people, even people I had already met, but hadn't see for ages....... Impact Blue and Bunta!! :D

See you all next time out there.

Good to see you again too! Hopefully I will be out there with you next time :D

There is vague whispers of a track day with nsw members coming up for a QR day.. That would be a great event... or maybe they're a little ...soft? :(:D

Yes the whispers are vuage....but they are growing

We should return the favour and all head down there sometime too :D

I was getting 190-195kph on the front straight and struggling to slow down for the corner if I had slicks i could push it to maybe 210kph. I didn't do the national track this time because I wanted the engine not to blow up on me.

Thats with a few mods thou >_<

The next Track Day will be on September 12. Details will be emailed out shortly. Anyone not on the list make sure you PM me your email address to get involved.

The full track results will be up on the web site shortly, check them out.

I will update the Honour List shortly also.

i had to skip 2 sessions cause i didn't have enough fuel :D

What a great day! I beat my old time by 5 sec on the national circuit. Down from 1:34?? to a 1:29.50!! Top speed down the back straight was nudging an indicated 195km/hr and had fun keepin' it outta the kitty litter into turn 3!!

Paul, thanks very much to you and all the volunteers, well executed morning(and afternoon...I would imagine)

Hey hey hey, we can see into this section too........ ;)

Basically the plan for the NSW'ers is, as soon as we have our cars all set (few things to happen first, one motor needs a rebuild, and one person is buying a dedicated track car) we will book in for a QR day with you guys and head up :D
