SSV is located at the corner of Huntingdale Road and Princess Hwy on the direction towards Dandenong. It is right after the junction, so you gotta keep left before you see the lights.

It's a family business ran by the father and the son now. Pretty decent guys, however, one of my customers who came to import his 2nd skyline from me gave me negative remarks about them. :

yeh i gotta mate who does compliance for SSV, aswell as heaps of other ones, and he swears mark is the only legit one. i been there only once myself, friendly guy, nice cars, definately worth a look. a friend got his 34 from kamikaze, and that would probly be the first place i would look. slightly higher prices, but a very clean operation they got goin on.

then theres places like JSA.... dont even bother. i rkn half there cars are un-roadworty. alot of cars too low, even saw a 34 with tyres out past the guard, bodykit not held on properly (still for sale i might add, after several months...), looks like the cars arent even kept clean.

Im suprised that he gave negative remarks. The cars I saw there, all were fantastic - I did a thorough check on the ones I liked though, and couldnt find a problem. Hmm..maybe a once off incident. Cos, everyone I spoke to said, that their cars are probably the more legit ones...

i went there nearly 3 years ago when i was looking for my car

called him, asked questions about the car, price etc.

drove from near the airport all the way over there (aver an hour) and he says "nah that price doesn't include compliance. that'll be another 5 grand". dodgy prick.

The mustache guy at power rd is good in a way hes not pushy and lets you drive any car u want.

we once took the car i was interested in, it had zero petrol really, so we chucked 4 bucks of PULP in it and floored it a bit... didnt like certain aspects about the body so didnt buy it.

I got my car at SSV, good place, decent cars. The warranty is bit dodgy though as i really lost my faith in it after the BOV incident. I wouldnt recommend shelling out on the warranty...

They seem to have a decent range there and was wondering if anyone here has bought a car off them?

Are there any dealers that you recommend, especially any on the East side of Melb?

Im looking for either a black or white 'line, sunroof would be good :D, standard or not. $15k to spend on the car... there is 1 or 2 at Power Road Car Sales that fit the bill...

Thanks

-Steve

PS I did a search and there wasnt anything recent.

i have a black one for sale but im looking at abot 17k it was just imported in march

I bought my R32 GTR from shane and on the phone he sounds like a prick. He told me to take it for a test drive by myself, which I thought was weird and he prices cars without compliance, but i got him down. If you bargain he will drop his price and he sounds like aprick but thats just him. He has pretty decent cars but remember he is a used car salesmen from the old school of used car salesmen, couldnt build rapport with his own asshole. But dont let that stop you from buying from him.

I bought my Evo from SSV and would recommend them. Everyone has given the details of the business above. I also took the time to walk around the forecourt as they say thats one way to tell what a dealer is like. Their cars were all spotless. Several lines, a few supras, S15.

Had a minor issue with the warranty but it was all sorted and is an external one as someone above has said.

Definately recommend them and they can import specifically for you as well.

Got my car from power road. Yeah that Shane guy is ignornat as anything on the phone. Just doesnt want to know you. But in person he's ok. Went first time with a amte of mine to test my silver 33 that I have now. No issues with taking it out for a spin. Then came back later and put a down payment on it and took it for another spin.

Worth checking out the cars in the flesh. Also he pretty much instantly took $1800 off the price from $19k to $17.2k. Running has been running like a dream since I got it apart from a few stalls at low rpm.

Buyer beware, i recently purcahsed a car from Power Rd car sales, asked alot of questions and upon arriving to Melbourne (flew from sydney) they did pick me up frm airport but we over an hr late, i noticed the car was not as described, in worse condition, and was concerned when i walked into the office and noticed car parts everywhere and cars being built and stripped in the back....

In regards to the car i had bought i cut my losses and didnt want to loose my deposit so purchased anyway, but as my mechanic in sydney said theres no way it would have passed a RWC or any inspection.....

bushes and suspension were well worn, with lower control bushes broken....

Car wouldnt start in park,

sun damaged, leather ripped and scratches on bumpers etc, and the car was descibed to me as immaculate....

also oil didnt look fresh and after driving half way back to sydney it overheated......

There was water in radiator no coolant, (I was told it was jst serviced) to pass RWC

exhaust leak,

cd player jammed and wouldnt work

rear suspension leaking

and the car absolutely stunk, as it was heavily smoked in, i also asked this before i put a deposit on it, and was lied to.....

i said i spent a fair bit on gettin this car up to scratch, and getting these things fix, all in all for the extra money i had to spend, i could have got a really clean example here in sydney and saved alot of time and money...and farking around.....

I would've given up the deposit, f**k buying a rust bucket. Plus consumer affair probably wouldve done something about it with false advertisement.. Eh learn from your mistakes I guess
