Hi,

I have decided to sell my car. No reason in particular, i'm looking to get out of the performance game and settle for a more normal 4 door car. This car is not practical for me anymore. It has rarely been driven in the 1 year i've owned it.

Specs:

- 1989 R32 GTR Gunmetal Grey - It must have been resprayed as the paint is immaculate.

- R34 GTR Engine out of a 99 R34. The body has done 94,000km's engine approx 45,000.

- Forged pistons (was told by my mechanic he suspects it has them)

- Tein height and damper adjustable suspension all round

- Trust oil cooler

- Heavy duty clutch (Originally had triple plate clutch - I went for driveability as I never had any intentions for big power)

- 100mm thick upgrade intercooler

- Nismo fuel reg

- High flow fuel pump

- Nismo boost gauge with Exhaust Gas temperature gauge (it's a bit noisy but i put up with it as I monitor the gas temperatures closely)

- Twin Trust Airnix filters

- Aftermarket tuned length front pipes which go into 3.5 inch, then a 3 inch hi flow cat, followed by 3.5 inch exhaust. Entire exhaust is stainless steel with a MASSIVE cannon. (For now I have replaced it with an xforce cannon that came with a mildsteel cat back system as I dont want the attention - buyer is welcome to choose)

- Remapped ecu or stock ecu (buyer is welcome to choose)

- The car currently has 2 standard gts-t seats, as it came with tiny jap racing seats which I couldnt fit in. They were fine for me the whole time I had them. I havent managed to find a set of GTR seats in good condition for the right price. Rear seats are genuine gtr seats.

- Regassed A/C

- Serviced every 5,000 km's. Although I've only driven it 10,000km's since i've owned it. I am the first and only owner of this car since it's been in Australia.

- Decent tread. Certainly wont be defected for rubber.

- Injectors were recently cleaned and Platinum spark plugs installed (as of last month).

- Fibreglass front bar

- Custom Alloy intercooler pipes

- Removed rear wing and replaced with lip

Now for the good stuff:

Since it has the r34 motor, it has the bigger factory dump pipes on them, plus steel wheel turbos which will have no problem taking 14 psi.

The only thing i've done to the car since it landed was upgrade the cooler and add a bleed valve (I didnt go electronic as I had no intentions for big power). Alot of people speculate that it must have been a high powered car in Japan since it came with front racing seats, full roll cage, triple plate clutch and clearly money has been spend on weight reduction (light weight fibreglass bar and alloy pipes). When I was fitting the stereo, I noticed a stamp on the rear seat frame saying Team Proceed Racing... never heard of them but you cant miss it. I suspect they took the original engine out of the car and put another in, then sold the car as when i got it there was no boost controller and the car was only doing 7 psi, yet still had the clutch, cage, etc... who knows, they only thing I am certain of is that this engine/car is immaculate.

With stock air flow meters, stock dumps, stock injectors and a remapped ecu (with all emission controls removed), the car made 250 rwkw on unigroups dyno. This was set at 12.5 - 13 psi. It did this comfortably on 18's. Obviously with the 16's (genuine gtr wheels) you could expect slightly more, maybe 260?. Now that just gives an idea of the power the engine is making, compared to other gtr's with earlier model engines. I've seen other GTR's with more mods, making less power.

Since i've owned it, I have NEVER raced it on any track. So I dont know what time's it will do - 1/4 mile or circuit for that matter

I am after $25,500 firm, but will accept offers Very close to that. Nothing ridiculous and I will not do any swaps. I am in Sydney.

Rego runs out in August, but i will re negotiate the price as the time approaches. Also can provide a pink slip when the time comes.

For any questions call 0416 343 883. Pics will be up tomorrow, or next few days on this thread.

Forgot to add, this car has Quicktrack plus an additional immobiliser.

Im sure theres more stuff to add as well, off the top of my head it's all I can think of. pics soon.

Cheers.

Heres a few old pics to get started. You can tell these are old, because I took them at the dealer who I bought the car off last year (A close friend of mine owns the car yard). It has the 18's in the pic but i've replaced them with stock 32 GTR wheels.

Also few more things to add:

- Tinted windows all round. Quite dark.

- Cross drilled brakes on the rear

- Braided fuel hose and oil hoses.

More pics to come soon. I'll take some outside shots this weekend with the gtr wheels.

The car is a little dusty in the last pic, but nothing a wash wont solve, as i said new pics will come shortly

Cheers

Bump!

Ok I am now serious about selling this car. It has 12 months rego, I've had a custom 3 inch quiet exhaust made up for it (power loss obviously) but also the rest of the goods are still there. I can give one 3.5 inch full stainless catback exhaust to the buyer so you can swap at your own leisure.

I'm keen on buying another car asap so I will start considering offers. I will be advertising the car shortly. I've only placed it on forums so far... Let me know your offers

As for the previous questions, dna bleed valve, hicas is electronically locked using a tomei unit - came with the car

Cheers.

By the way... I noticed the turbos have adjustable actuators on them... something i missed in the year i've owned it... oh well the bleed valve can do the job for now

I am not trying to damage your thread but it is worth noting that no standard gtr (other than n1 and nur) came with steel wheeled turbos. They are ceramic. This was because they wanted a quick spool time which the ceramics do better than the steel wheeled turbos. There is the issue of ceramic turbine wheels falling off with too much boost.

Mods: Delete this if I am breaking any rules but I don't want anyone being mislead.

He's right. The R34 turbos are ceramic just like every other standard GTR turbo. Only the N1's have steel wheels.

I HIGHLY doubt your R34 motor with stock turbos has forged pistons in it either mate... They most likely pulled the big power motor out and dropped this stockie back in before selling it in Japan.

Hey Guys,

In reply to the above posts, thanks for clearing that up, I certainly DO NOT want to mislead anyone regarding the car.

Sewid, I see where you're coming from and I dont have any comfirmation myself. I was asked today if it has forgies and I couldnt answer it myself. To me it would seem they took the big hp motor out and put a stock one in as you said... it makes perfect sense, but its just one of those cars that is a mystery... Having said that and by no means of trying to offend you, I do trust the mechanic/tuner ive been going to for years and his opinion (to me) weighs considerably more than your doubts (no offence). Some of the things listed above (aside from the obvious ones), weren't discovered until I was well into 6 months of owning the car.

I'm only going off what I know or have been told. I do know abit - but im certainly not an expert.

Cheers Guys

No rush mate.

I also found out that it has an n1 harmonic balancer on the car. In addition the power steering pump has been moved to the front, plus one afm has been cut (seems like there was a big single on there before). My mechanic has also said he is 100% sure the sump has been removed previously, which makes him suggest its not a stock motor - Sorry to flaw your theory sewid :)
