Hi Saliba,

Good to see a new enthusiest from the West :).

Very nice car; but remember you are modifing it according to YOUR taste, so don't take other people's opinions too seriously. Having said that........ i like it :P

If you are interested in going on cruises, bbqs, events, track days, etc, best join SAU VIC and be a offical member. Once a financial member you'll have access to the "members only" forum. Just open the 'sticky' at the top of the Victoria forum.

PS: I live in Delahey, which is only 5mins from St.Albans.

welcome mate..nice lookin 32

im from hoppers, so chalk up another west sider here....if you join SAU Vic, you can cruise to meets/events with the other westsiders, as the majority of the SAU Vic members are all on the otherside of town!

Hey buddy,

Best way to meet a few fellow liners and see what were all about is to come down to the general meetings at Bells Hotel on and say g'day to a few ppl. We have these the third Tuesday of every month.

Check it out here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=121607

Next on is the 20th June

hey guys,

damn alot of replies, appreciate the comments about the car and am definately modifying it to my taste.

reason i asked is not much of ma mates are car enthusiasts

to be honest im in delahey, but normally say st.albans cuz nobody knows wth delahey is hehe.

i havent seen any of the cars in the posts around here, al u say your in delahey?? maybe ill bump into ya im right next to maccas.

will happily come to the meets, so long as its not in the next month hehe had a lil burdy tell me cops will be

all over the place come next thursday night

anyone see's me around gimme a holla, love to find some enthusiasts in the area.

there is a krazy lookin green kermit the frog lookin r32 near deer park shoppin centre, im usually around there as my fiancee lives in that area.

take care all

Hey David,

As long as that lil' birdy is reliable, keep passing those messages over :)

The chances of you seeing my car are very slim, as it spends most it's life in the garage ;). If you see/hear a white AU falcon ute beep at you, i am sayin' hi.

Maybe it is time to organise a Westie meet, just to catch up and talk shit over a beer.............or two ;), once my car is back on the road.

there is a krazy lookin green kermit the frog lookin r32 near deer park shoppin centre, im usually around there as my fiancee lives in that area.

Drive past that all the time, i live up the street, very noice car!!!

Dun think they on here though?!?!? :

I'm in kealba on the weekends most of the time (in a generic looking black R32 GTS tho)... if you're around the campbellfield area come say hi to us at Driftline.

kealba area, yehh i drive passed their a bit, used to be a regular at the kealba hotel heh won 150 bux the other night there was rapped :)

driftline ey, whats the deal with that shop, what do yous specialise in, i bought my car from around that area, private importer supposedly, so much dodgy shietz wrong with it, engine was fooked, turbo died after a few days, smokin all up n everywhere, clutch died grrrrrrr....hoses not connected etc...

gives me the shitz how people break into and steal cars and rip pplz off, why import something thats hammered or sell something hammered ill never understand their mentality, anyway a bit off topic but yeh.

al, will definately been down for the west meet, i was about to suggest it in my last post but never got around to putting it in.

ill keep a look out for the ute, normally on the road around 9ish going to work, calder fwy area.

and yeh the lil burdys reliable but everyone would know about this, tokyo drift thursday night anyone?

    • From there it is trickier. Ecutek seems to be one of those closed ecosystems where everyone password protects their tunes which means I either choose a tuner and can't change from them and can't make any changes myself for any reason, or I have to buy the tuning software (about $4k) and then get someone to tune from scratch (which is not simple with all the multi dimensional tables these days). Once you buy about 300 "flash points" per ECU you can get it tuned and add their "RaceROM" function which hacks extra functionality like launch control onto the ECU, and also makes extra data available for logging over CAN Not sure what I'll do there yet; I'm tempted to use one of the overseas shops that does billions of remote tunes of the platform instead of starting from scratch locally, a lot can be done online these days.
    • Can I log IAT eh? Well, can now So next thing was looking at data logging. Not straight forward because none of the motorsport displays have cracked the nissan/inifinti CAN and ECU based displays don't do g logging, lap timing, predictive laps etc.  So, I bought an Ecutek dongle from Tunehouse (Oz distributor). Even without a tune onboard that allows display and logging of about 50 parameters via Android (and presumably iOS) app. Approx 600 for the bluetooth + Usb version That gives me (pretty ugly but) functional dash display on Android And logging of these parameters I'll play around a bit over the break, but at least now I can make sure I have oil pressure when I get to some track testing.
    • I don't know what globes/headlight connector they run, but I'd be looking for a female adapter to plug into the existing headlight on one side. Something like this https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/256017245989 Then I'd use a pair of single input, double output relays (one for low, one for high), mount them in a spare space in the fuse box if you want to to look more original (and be easier to maintain). Then 2 new power sources from the main stud in the fuse box via a fuse to each relay. Low from the headlight adapter pin triggers low relay and high from the high headlight adapter pin triggers high and low. Earth the relays and new headlight sockets and off you go. Because it triggers off the original headlight all of the dipping/hi on/high flash all still works
    • I reached 10 posts and wanted to make my build thread too but still can't add pictures to posts so I have no idea how it works 😂
