Last night, driving down Anzac Parade, at the last second my mate yells out SH_T! I scan everywhere and see a dog about 10 metres infront ( travelling at 60 ) I just managed to swerve out of the way in the nick of time. Luckily the dog moved away from where I swerved and not into it...

Take off from the lights in Taylor Square heading down oxford street, furthest right hand lane. This blonde chick runs out about 20m ahead of me.. I slow down, then out of nowhere this guy just stumbles out within 5-10 metres of me... Luckily I was ahead of the rest of the traffic as I swerved away from him again by under a metre.

Went home after that...had a feeling something worse was going to happen.

NEVER swerve around animals.

It sounds mean, but NO animals life is worth more than your own. Just cop the damage from the mutt and live to fight another day. I've seen so many wrecked/killed city drivers that try to swerve around kangaroos at 120km/h and end up rolling their car 10 times and dying! This is obviously why the bull-bar was invented! :P

Thats it Jon - Its actually illegal to swerve.

As bad as it is, Id be very very upset if I hit a dog, but better than swerving into say....a family car load? kids on the other side of road?

yeah i too hate toyota camry's

Youre a local?

lucky for you!

if you think that round about is bad....the arch-de-triumph (sp??) in Paris - 12 streets - 1 round about - averages out into every 3-4 mins an accident.

Lucky I was in a contiki coach

Lol.. my mums been on that.. lol.. my uncle was driving and was in there for about 10 mins LOL!

she was so scared.. haha
