dbo
Hello all, I have for sale a GCG XTRGTST-S1 turbo for sale. It's a stage 1 high-flow from GCG. As far as I can tell, it has steel wheels front and back, and is ball bearing. The turbo is "plated" with the following details, and has GCG written all over it: S/N: 016085 P/N: XTRGTSTS1 The compressor housing is labelled 16V 12 (R32 housing) I had this turbo recently running on my R32 4 door. The turbo has no visible shaft play. It ran very well, but was laggier than stock. My mechanic and I agree that this turbo would be a good choice for an RB25DET, or an RB20 with alot of top end power. The old owner of the car claimed that the car was dynoed at 187rwkw @ 15psi with NO aftermarket fuel system whatsoever. The turbo is rated at 450hp. The turbos are claimed to handle in excess of 20psi with no drama's. Price Drop! Now going fro $1150ono Contact me preferebly via PM, or e-mail. I'm located on the Gold Coast. Email: [email protected] Can get better pics on request. Cheers! barnoon
Hey mate, how much more laggy was this then the stock turbo? Any idea when it made full boost, is this just the same as the GCG stage one hi flow thats $1950? Also any idea on how many kms the turbo has been used for? dbo
Hey mate, how much more laggy was this then the stock turbo? Any idea when it made full boost, is this just the same as the GCG stage one hi flow thats $1950?Also any idea on how many kms the turbo has been used for? This is the same one that GCG will do for $1950. It would be the exact same as taking your R32 turbo to GCG, except alot cheaper. This turbo is laggier than stock. I had a badly un-tuned R32 RB20DET, and I would make full boost (15 psi) at approx 4300rpm, with a stock fuel system. This turbo's efficiency point is somewhere like 6800-7000rpm, and can go higher than 20psi, so thats where you'll be seeing your peak power. I would recommend this turbo to someone wanting more top end power, as the midrange isn't the best around. This particlar turbo woulds perform much better on an RB25. I can only guess at the amount of kays this has done, but i'd say 12,500 wouldn't be far off. Turbo has zero shaft play. As above, and you might wanna change the price in your first post and add a 1 in there somewhere Thanks for letting me know mate Edited June 27, 2006 by dbo Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/121808-gcg-stage-1-high-flow-turbo/#findComment-2289002 Share on other sites

Sydneykid
so what sort of power would u get on an rb25? ~240kw? would the midrange be better on a 25? 265 rwkw with Tomei Poncams on an R34GTST 275 rwkw on an R33GTST with the slightly larger VG30 turbine cover (maybe worth 10 rwkw extra) cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/121808-gcg-stage-1-high-flow-turbo/#findComment-2292257 Share on other sites
dbo
265 rwkw with Tomei Poncams on an R34GTST275 rwkw on an R33GTST with the slightly larger VG30 turbine cover (maybe worth 10 rwkw extra) cheers Thanks for that SD. I think it does actually have the VG30 turbine? (if not it looks like an R34 item) As you can see this turbo can pull some nice figures at a good price.
