what to do on a sunday afternoon? how about work from 1:30 - 11:30pm? well... that's what i do every sunday :P

i was listening to grand master flash on TripleJ the other morning, wic! And DJ Shadow is on the way out as well... tickets are too pricey tho...

Download: Mp3

please offer any constructive feedback, otherwise its not really useful

i find it hard to match it up correctly within the short amount of time between tracks, i guess its just practice and nothing more. i basically did this off the bat with no plannign or anything

d/l now...

grand master flash was telling a funny story bout his son trying to get into dj'ing... he gave his son 5 tracks, asked him to 'blend' them (match 'em) and mix it, and give him a cd of it in a week - flash referred to it as "gallopping horses" in reference to the blending :P

DJ Shadow has Mos Def with him as well... pretty impressive... $88 i think tho...

your a stupid head

i didn't say anything :P

erm i usually work on sunday mornings. 7-12 then come home, eat, watch tv/net then maybe sleep. i didn't work this morning though i cancelled my shift coz i stayed up till 7 watching world cup and i just woke up bout 30 minutes ago.

need to study today, exam on tuesday. then near midnight its world cup time again :sorcerer:

yeah the problem i find is that once you start with the first track

you kinda have to maintain that speed through the whole thing

you can just start off with 145bpm then drop to 138

cos it sounds farked, you ahve to like pick a constant bpm and maintain it for all the tracks

im dl it now but ive being djing for the last seven years and knwo a fair few djs and if you having the problem of keeping the tempo up you need to learn a lil nit about key mixin ill find a page and paste the link

wat it is you read the mucis and keep it on the same level like you can mix @124bpm and seem like its doin 132 or more just buy the way the song picks up

im goin to have a mix tonight

wat do you use to record onto your computer?

so far i liek the beats bit diffrent to wat i do as i do house n break beats as they can take you anywhere get lost in it ill record a set tonight and bang it up

ok edit

you say some advise is good you really reed to get extended versions of all songs as mixing 4mins wont let you play with it and you beats need to be lined up more and also start at like 130 bpm as you got off to quick
