I have a r32 with a rb25det in it with a stock r33 ecu when i reset the ecu is starts pinging and the ecu retards the timing then its ok, because the ecu is retarding the timing will it give it less fuel or spark eg, power should I retard the timing and reset the ecu also witch way do you turn the CAS sensor to advance or retard the timing.

Probably pings because when you disconnect the ECU, it goes back to factory base settings for fuel and ignition maps. I beleive the standard feul octane rating in japan is around 100 ron. Its sudeenly running on something alot less than that (you cant beleive the ratings here). Therefore it pings until it retards the timing.
