I have an RB20 in my silvia with a TD06-19c. It is extremely laggy below around 4500, when it climbs boost very fast. I like the power push, but it is too laggy to use when driving around normally. I read that there are 10cm and 8cm exhaust housings. I also read that the 8cm housing will fit straignt onto any TD06.

WITHOUT taking the turbo off the car, is there any way of knowing if its the 10cm or 8cm? can I just measure the dump pipe to get an idea? and if it is a 10cm will adding an 8cm exhuast housing be a big difference in low end torque?

any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

Rhys

can you be a little more specific on where it is stamped on the housing and what it looks like? It is a high mount turbo so I may be able to see it if it is in the right spot. pics would be awesome.

you willing to sell the 8cm housing if I dont already have one?

Rhys

I have both 8cm and 10cm td06 19c housings, the 8 or 10 is stamped on the housing.

No matter what you do this turbo is going to be laggy on the rb20!

Well im making a tad under 150rwkws at 4,000rpm using the African American 20G...so i dont think its that bad considering that a std turbo RB20 only makes peak power what i make at about 4250rpm.

The size is stamped inside the exhaust housing, so you have to take the turbo off. If you send me a few good pics i back my chances of being able to tell what housing it is as i have used both the 10 and the 8 and also looked at usign a 6cm housing (which flat out looked too small for a 2L six)
