Shane you should know that Saturday night is reserved for FWD 13sec+ cars and VW's

that would have to be my only gripe about the whole jamboree event is why do all motor and front runner get the nice cool air but tough street cars get the heat of the day.

i think it must be a willowbank policy to run slick tired cars together and treaded tires together.

my initial post was to say remind them they need it as in the videos when they have been testing they didnt have a full exhaust. i was being nice and giving a friendly reminder in case they didnt know

i am just saying to adrian post if people dont comply i will lodge a protest. i wasnt having a go at your buddy.

i reckon street rwd is going to kick ass this year. 72 entire all ready and it would appear there are 4 or 5 cars that will be fighting it out for the national record.

sweet no probs....they did know...anyway its all good and Street RWD is going to go off.....looking forward to it :dry:

carlos didnt have the full exhaust on the saturday, he offered to withdraw from the class and just do exhibition runs. i dont know who made the decision but they allowed him to use the times for qualifiying and he had to run the full exhaust on sunday. i only found this out after competition had finished on the sunday night last year.

It's hard to hear that after towing to QLD and having qualified 17th :D

The interpretation of the rules change all the time. I asked the question of Mark's mis-matched front seats and was told that it wasn't performance enhancing so nothing would be done. Mark then asked the question at a later QLD meeting of Ben's roof lining and door trims and the result saw Ben D kicked to Sport Mod.

Go figure.

The way I see it, I'll comply fully with the rules at each event and anyone who doesn't....well it'll be a race between Shane and myself to the ANDRA DD and meeting director :dry:

Geez, I would hate to upset you guys..... I will need to go and get a new horn button and make sure its working :D

nope, has to run 2 function headlights.

im going to put it to ray to change that to allow cold air inductions.

See thats what I thought, so I now ask..... Why do they have the Supra as the picture for SRWD with 1 headlight missing......

Shouldnt they have a car that complies to the rules

yes i agree, but i think the site was put up looking for a "look" so to speak.

Shane – Did you see that or hear about it? All I can say is if my window was down (and the crowd could hear me) I’d probably be facing tribunal charges for bringing the sport into disrepute :rolleyes:

I wonder if they running within themselves a bit. less boost???

(had to come get my baby out of child care rofl)

Also Marc Jacobson had a run, no good. Havent seen Theo?

And John with the s/c v8 R33 ran a pb of 10.3!!! well done!!!

      Thanks for your insight, it being basically useless will impact my decision for sure. I thought it may help the engine breath better I guess. But then again, I have also been told that tuning an RB20DE is also not worth it. Exactly, we follow EU Regulations. There is a bit more leeway on older vehicles. My Porsche 924 came without a cat from factory and managed to pass, they still mentioned that I have quite high emissions on it though.

This is the sensible thing to do and the opposite of what I was alluding you were doing. I may have seen too much outrage and hate being fueled on the internet and it has made me a somewhat cynical old man. Sometimes it is easy to forget that there are real people behind websites and accounts. In my defence, CarExpert and CarExplore do read quite similarly at a glance.       Don't bother. The poor little RB20 doesn't make enough gas flow to challenge the flow capabilities of even the littlest cat, and you won't make any extra power, and all you'll do it soot up your rear bumper. Plus....is Malta not runing under Euro regs?

      Hey Daniel, sorry to hear that and thanks for posting up for us at a really hard time I only knew SmoothLine through the forums, we never met as we are based in different states, but when he was most active on here he was quite a while back so not many of the current crowd might remember him. I am pretty sure he was active in the Queensland SQU club but that is defunct now too (times are changing and we are all getting older). Farewell SmoothLine!

      Turns out depending on whether the car was equipped with TCS or not there are different signals coming to the dash, meaning there are different speedo clusters.  Wired in a speedo calibrator box from aliexpress and now works fine.
