Shuttering Or Rattling Noise

Hi,

Im getting a Shuttering or rattling noise when my turbo kicks in. This usally only happens at night but sometimes happens in the day. I can usally drive it all day with no problem and then the next day the noise is back. It doesnt affect the performance of the car, just makes a noise like something is loose. This noise could be really loud one day and the next day i wont hear it at all. Does anyone know what this could be?

Nah i havent heard pinging before. Yeah i guess it could sound like a can or marbles, lol.

If your running too much boost, running a lean air fuel ratio, too much ignition timing, less than 98ron fuel or any combination of these will cause detonation (aka pinging, aka can of marbles) will destroy your engine.

I'm surprised it hasn't already as from your description of the sound I'd say the condition is quite severe.

its the prop shaft.. or center bearing.. cheak the rubber housing of the center bearing and the center bearing of the driveshaft.. had the same problem..
