The green plug on d side bottom of radiator that connects to the standard thermo on R32 Gtr .

what temp does it come in at?

Could it be used for a radiator thermo fan switch ?? Or if not what could go into radiator at this position to operate the thermo??

The factory fan come on a bit over 90 degrees. I wouldn't recommend using it for thermo control as thats a bit late imho.

Ideally you want the fans kicking in around 85 in a skyline as that is slightly higher than average cruise temperatures so the thermo only comes on when you're stopped for a little while, and if it's big enough, it will run for a couple of minutes and drop the temp enough that it switches off.

That way you maintain a fairly stable temperature in the 83-88 degree range rather than having it fluctuate between 83-95 for example.

Really doesn't matter how hot you have the trigger (within reason) - You only want to prevent the coolant from boiling. 90 is fine as a switch-on temperature.

The switch in the radiator switches a relay in the block immediately behind the battery. You tap into the OUTPUT of that relay to TRIGGER a relay that powers your new thermo fan.

Thanks very much chaps, i am now going to use this existing thermo swich at the bottom of radiator via a relay ,,perfect! :O
