Your Opinion... Air Filter

I purchased a K&N Pod Filter for my '89 Alfa Romeo several months ago, would this be adequate to put on my '97 R33 GTST? Because i know that some air filters arent good for turbo cars like those cheap $30buck jobs, but this K&N one should be good yeah?

yeah should be good, you are going to need to get a adaptor to suit the r33 airflow meter

What sort of adaptor? I didnt need one for the alfa, What does it look like and how much $ and where?

go to auto barn or even super cheap sometimes have them get a metal one, should be like 30 bucks

Give the filter a clean first. It doesnt look like its been oiled? Be careful not to over oil them, only a small amount is plenty. Personally I'm not a fan of oiled filters...

Oiled cotton filters are fine, it's the oiled foam that let small animals through you should be worried about.

If you don't get enough oil on them they are useless at removing small particles so oil it to manufacturer specs. I do, no problems in 3.5 years.

anyone have any plans for making one as i dont think q45 ones really come off the shelf

ones for a 99 rex fit it and theres plenty out there to fit, i bought one on the weekend for my q45 just a case of fining one that fits....
