Hey Guys,

I'll be doing some work to my engine over the next couple of months, it needs new oversized pistons etc, so just going to do a bit more while the engine is out but I wanted to paint the block but I'm not too sure what color.

The car itself is a R33 Nissan Skyline GTS-T and it's Gunmetal Grey ..what color do you guys think would suit the actual engine block?

Although if you were looking for something different i wouldn't go red cause its pretty common :

Yeah, thats true since there are so many Skylines going around these days - best thing is to be diffrent to everyone else, only way your car will stand out.

Red wouldn't be bad but thinking about what you said that red would be too common ..I'm leaning towards a blue or something but even then a few cars probably have a blue block.

block - black

you can hardly see it, plus once it gets dirty it looks tacky if painted something else.

block black, then the rest of the colours stand out better IMO

agreed completely.

you don't want to paint it a different colour, it just looks ricey and tacky at the end of the day.

it ain't no old holden red or blue motor, dont make it look like one!

how bout harlequin, then everybodies right? lol black is neat, but lighter colors: 1. stand out when ur showin ur ride off, and 2. make it easier to find oil leaks, but thats not so good when attemtpting #1.
