I reckon the Bob Jane bashing is out of line. The chain requires them all to have laser alignment machines for proper HICAS friendly alignments.

Yes if you don't tell them you want something special you will get an alignment designed for commodores (eg toe in to reduce tyre wear due to camber).

But if you tell them what you want and get a print out of the before and after settings you will get the right result.....

I have been to bob janes all over the east coast and tassie when racing and they are always happy to stay open late and help out. In fact the one in Hobart we went to when we broke the rear steering rack at Targa let us use the workshop all night.

Yer it is out of line but here in Adelaide for some reason they all hire young blokes that have just dropped out of school.

But they machines etc are all top notch. So its a matter of finding one that has non-thrasher looking ppls working. :spank:

in regards to the hole hicas thing.. if your kinda stupid like me and dont realy no the settings etc, what do you tell em ?? just that the car "has 'hicas" ?? cause i found alot of places werent familiar with that...

Ok, I dont just sledge Bob Janes Stores.

I am willing to sledge any other companie I worked for that I know is dodgy... And it just so happens that 99 out of every 100 people you talk to in Adelaide will tell you the same thing as me, "To not go to Bob Janes cos none of them 16 year olds know anything about what they are doing"

It isnt a matter of how good there system is, or the machines they are using.. you will still always find that if the guy using them knows nothing, then the machines are useless.

But Sydney may be different, They may hire people that know how to do a Wheel Alignment, instead of a Thrust Alignment..

Thurst Alignment: commonly known as a bob jane special, or a toe and go.. all that is altered and chekced is the toe readings on the car, no cambers or castors are checked in this process.

And I dont see stating the truth about a company I worked for as sledging.
