Glad to hear it. We don't hear enough stories of guys getting their cars back from thieves in reasonable condition.

Especially not something like a Skyline, where the big spare parts market makes stripping stolen vehicles quite attractive.

Shame you missed the drive on Friday, but I will expect you down at Wakefield. :-)

very very lucky mate.... id say your car would be worse for wear after a thrashing from them, but as i hear your off to wakefield, so they just warmed her up :D

4 guys tried to steal my mates 180 on friday night.....

happening everywhere fellas

just waiting for the police to finish up the forensic. If they do get caught....well, i'll be pressing some outrageous charges on them.

From what the police told me, the only damage is to the ignition area where they used the screw driver, but I'll be taking it to a mechanic nontheless to get a quick check, then to sterilise the car.

Lingering - quick question - did you have an alarm/immobiliser.. from the sounds of it you didn't?? Just checking.. you might have said it on the first page - but i'm too lazy to check..

If not - you will need one to get comprehensive insurance.. first 2 things anyone that buys a car should get - best $3000 you could ever spend on a car.. seeing as it's better to have one than have it stolen..
