Bov Fitment?

hey guys i got a hks sqv for my rb20det

i got the diamond shape adapter for it but need somthing to block up the intake pipe where the std bov goes back into, does anyone know where i can buy like a rubber cap or somthing to cover it up,

also does the hks sqv sound anything as cool as the hks super sqv??

The answer is NO.

The one you “bought” goes psshhh

The one you “want” goes squeek.

To block the plumback line, you can usually fit a coke bottle cap over it and use the clamp that is already there to clamp it on.

Or go to bunnings and get a pack of rubber boots that go on the feet of kitchen chairs.

Also, I think a D size battery fits in to the rubber hose on that return pipe, which you would then clamp in with the clamp already there.

Anyway, all that said and done, you be back to using the stocker soon enough so this would have all been a waste of time and money.

god i thought i was dodgey when i put 10 cent coins in my blow of valve to stiffen it up...but i guess im not so dodgey after all hehe.

why not use metal putty to close of that hole?

Best bet to plug the hole is take the pipe to Repco or similar and get a welch plug to fit snug, and clamp it in.

IMO, don't do anything dodgy when talking about you engine dude... for example, if the think you plug it with is plastic or whatever and gets heated, sucked in to the inlet and then into your turbo... well... you get the idea.

Just a side note::

Also adding a VTA BOV to a MAF system... well, look for some new spark plugs as well, to replace the fouled ones... or perhaps a tune?

lol, thanks guys that welch plug sounds like a gud idea, rite now i just duck tape over the pipe, think its safe

also the sqv sounds cool, why would i go back to the stock bov for gtst??
