Engine Problem

hi,

i'm new to this site, i've been havin problems with my car and it wont start now. A mechanic m8 ov mine has said its either the ignition module or the Crank angle sensor. wen the car was starting it wouldnt rev above 2100rpm and teh revs fluctuated. It also blew white smoke on idle but as you put your foot down on the accelerator it turned into black smoke. Does anyone ides on what the problem mite be?

revs fluctuating would be crank angle sensor. light blue/grey smoke is normal, actual white smoke i cant remember but i think it was something bad. black smoke could be ether rich tuning or turbo seal

That means you are burning oil. Not a good thing...

Anyway this isn't the place to ask engine questions. Try forced induction performance.

perform stock ecu diag and confirm its the sensor first

the car wont start with a dead crank angle sensor

unplug and see if it starts

if it wont rev past 2100 then check airflow meter plug

also check the obvious, do you have oil

any blowby in the intake piping? (near the rubber joiners)
