Diy Advice: Best/most Appropiate Way To Remove Badges

I took my front 'S' badge off mine and it left a faint 'S' mark, but that was because of two things:

1. it has been resprayed at some time or

2. the paint around it has faded.

I think it may be the fact the the paint faded cause the 'S' shape left behind is a slightly darker shade.

I think it looks better anyway without the front 'S' badge!
