I use silicone oil, its used for servicing printers, it brings up faded plastics like new, I have put some on the dasboard about a month ago, but its not going to see any heat for a few months in Tas so I couldnt tell you if it cracks like armorall, works a treat on plastics tho.

I use Kitten interior protectant. Not oily like armorall, and doesn't smell bad. I've been using it on my last car and my current car (4 years total) and it's never done anything bad to the dash.

I use it on every plastic piece I can find in the car, and it comes up looking like brand new.

I was a long time Armorall-fanboy - till I found Meguiars Shine Magic. The Shine Magic even says on the back "does not leave oily residue like some other common cleaning products"... pretty cheeky but it is the business.

It has brought life back to my window trims and interior door handles.

:)
