adrian the stuff on the forum is pre-preg sheet. the stuff tosh is showing/selling is pre fabricated carbon sheets. the differnce is pre-preg is just the raw carbon/fibre weave and needs shaping and then a resin applied. the sheets from HPI are formed dry carbon pieces made by a different methond to 'wet laying' of pre-preg.

So the guy at Carbon Artistry couldnt give you any leftovers at all?

Not correct.

Pre-preg has the resin already inside the weave and needs baking to cure.

Pre-fab has already been baked (cannot be re-shaped/moulded)

Then the dry weave you apply the resin with a brush (like working with fiberglass)

Steve....bunnings sell 2 inch ag pipe in 100m lengths about under $100, we might buy a roll and split it up :yes:

and best of all its nice and black (anything black must have been stock)
