Hey guys

I know this is a long shot, but im desperate now after 6 weeks of NOTHING from the workshop its at.

In this thread (link below) there is diagrams from nissan fast, in which you can see the part I need.

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=122023

Apparently, Nissan australia have tried to order the part, but there is an "error in translation" somewhere, and the correct part doesnt come. The workshop tells me the part number doesnt match up with the right part or something.

Now i know this is a long shot, but im asking any of you guys that live in japan, if its at all possible for you to call up your japanese nissan dealerships, and see what they have to say.

I'd expect that with the R33 being a japanese car, the nissan staff in japan will have far more knowledge of what part i need, and how to get it!

If you need a vin number when calling nissan in japan, you can use my VIN which is shown in the attached pics in the above thread...

I am desperate, and would appreciate any help you can offer VERY VERY MUCH!

Thanks in advance.

dezz

    • I spent the entire of the long weekend going through my garage and I'm now, after 3.5yrs in this house, able to fit a car in. The garage is quite long and the back half has a high enough ceiling for a 2 post lift but it's going to just take too much space and I don't think I'd be able to get around the car if it was in the air. So, in comes the quick lift. It looks perfect. High enough to do most things, I reckon even getting a gearbox out would be doable.  Does anybody here have one? They're fairly cheap (~$3k) considering...  https://www.dtmtrading.com.au/product/quick-lift-portable-vehicle-hoist-3500-kg-worksafe-approved/ I'm also a bit of a non risk taker so I'd probably still use stands when under!
    • Well now we all see it! I did the same. Then cut it out. Then melted half of it. Then discarded it entirely. So... you're in good company.
    • I just replaced the god awful, sagging, crunchy bonnet insulation. It's something nobody but I see but it's been at me for a while.
    • yeah the south island is stunning, the wifes family is from the west coast down there so we were down there for christmas.   a high 10 would be a stretch but hilarious if it happened. fourth gear is its party gear, i don't have traction to throw more at it at lower speeds. I've found passengers don't think its that fast, i think it's because it has a digital dash so they can't see the needle move so they have no sense of speed
    • You have (externally anyway) a lot of patience!  At the very least your patience has rewarded you financially even if you decided you were over it!! I only just read your first experience of seeing the car, that would have been amazing!  Well documented too! It must be exciting knowing there's only 10 months left until you can get it on a boat and on it's way!!!???
