Nope, if you remove the fuse or fit a toggle switch your R32 GTR/GTS4 becomes 100% RWD. You also loose ABS while in 2WD mode.

Dirt Garage sell the switch option in the group buys section. I bought one and fitted it, easy and works great. To switch between Atessa and RWD the car just needs to be stationary.

actually you can switch to 2WD without disabling ABS. you just need to remove the 4WD fuse from the fuse box next to the battery. much better way to do it. but if you just want it to do a quick burnout before a drag etc then using the cabin 4wd/abs fuse is fine.

car does not need to be stationary to switch to RWD, but does need to be stationary to switch back to 4WD. you can actually go into RWD on the move without a switch. just switch the engine off as you are rolling, then start it up again before you come to a complete stop. you are now in RWD and can do your burnout or whatever then when you next come to a complete stop the car will go back into 4WD.

I've used that trick a few times in my gtr too. Whilst in gear and rolling flick the key off and on and it goes into rwd. Must confuse the computer or something. As soon as you become stationary it engauges 4wd again.

Ive also found that if your 4wd light won't go out you can flick the key whilst stationary and often it will engauge 4wd again.

when you start the car the ABS computer goes through a self check. as the car is rolling (the wheel speed sensors are moving) the ecu cannot satisfactorily complete the check so it disables 4WD and ABS.
