Hi all,

I've rebuilt my engine and it has been running like a dream. I've done about 13,000kms and it goes hard but over the last 2,000kms, it has started to tap when I start up cold.

The tapping eventually goes away but the engine has to be right up to temp before it completely goes away.. Once the intial tap goes away when cold.. once it starts to warm up, it only does it as the rev needle passes the 2grand mark on the tacho!!

When I rebuilt the engine, I didn't have the money to replace the hyd lifters, so I got a pro to pull them apart and bleed them, etc... basically a recon..

I'm thinking that the lifters are the caus but I had to replace the exhuast cam about 10,000kms ago due to a siezed CAS which inturn snapped the end of the cam tip off.. anyway, could it be a worn cam lobe??

Any help would be great..

Thanks guys
