WhiteHot_R33
Hey guys, discovered today that I have a leak between the stock exhaust manifold and stock turbine inlet. . . the nut on the top front stud has worked loose, well it's gone How big a job is it to replace the gasket? Can you just unbolt the turbine and slip a new one in? Or do all the oil/water lines and piping have to come off? Also, how much should I expect to pay a workshop to do the job? cost of gasket etc? Should be a pretty standard gasket hey? I may attempt it myself if its not too big a job. . . Thanks in advance Jayson Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/123689-turbo-trouble/ Share on other sites
Trust33
it's really an easy job to do yourself. remove crossover pipe, turbo inlet pipeand bov return pipe.give yourself room to moove. Dissconnect exh dump from exh turbine. dissconnect oil and water lines. remove turbo & replace gasket done and done. A shop will charge a fair ammount i am suspecting, parts are cheap but the labour will hit you like an anvill.
