I’ve got some very light scratches on my bonnet due to it being washed with a scrubber which was a little too ruff. They are probably only 1/10 of a mm deep, & can only been seen in the right direction of light which causes them to reflect.

I tried wax, “wax on, wax hoff”, but did not work well enough. Is there a product which can remove these light scratches?

Thanks :P

A cut and polish should do the job. It should take about a 10th of a mm off your clear coat, which would even it down to the depth of the scratch. (and is also why you shouldn't cut and polish more than once a year apparently)

just be carefull when you do it...

1.minimal elbow grease - small amount of cut and light pressure - you would be amazed how quickly you can f*k your paint

2.do the entire panel in an even manner - other wise you will end out with a visible faded area.

luckily your car is white! white hides all :glare:

please dont use cut an polish on your car, that shis is for commodores not proper cars, if you want to remove the scratchs properly without doing more damage to the paint, get yourself a bottle of meguairs scratch x, is has special particles in it that will smooth the scratchs over, without ripping off clearcoat etc,

i am a detailer for a living so if you have any questions let me no.

Good one :ermm:
