Well, the saga continues. After my last accident the engine blew (replaced with rb25det :) ), and on both occassions i decided to upgrade rather than returning the car to its original form.

Now, i've just had another silly accident in the wet (my fault i admit, no comments plz)...and now i'm presented with a dilemma.

The damage is to the left-rear and is fairly extensive. I could either fix it back to normal, or get a full vertex kit, FB bonnet and respray the whole car. Either way the car is going to get a respray, but do u guys thinks its worth spending an additional ~900 on a kit? I currently got a GTR front bar with full type m kit.

I had a look at the for sales (cars) section and ppl seem to be struggling to sell their cars for the price they want.

What do u guys thinks? Should i keep pumping money into her or should i just do wats neccessary?

Any opinions? Does it ever stop?

thanx for the replies.

I prob plan to keep the car another 2 yrs or so..already had it for 2. Wasn't planning on doing the exterior until i hit 250rwkw but this accident has prompted me to switch priorities for now.

GTR front bar is def better but the vertex has the nicest ass i've seen on a 32.

Do u think the gtr front would go with the rest of the vertex?

In two minds atm....

lol

do-luck would be the sh*t...too bad my pockets aren't that deep.

ADZMAX - yeah, i've def learnt my lesson no more stupid stuff 8am on a sunday in the wet.

does anyone know a place that has do-luck replica? I've heard the original is in excess of ~$5K...thats a bit too much IMO.

BTW - i had a look at the blister kit - my car won't fit in the garage with that bulge mate lol

jap.com.au have the vertex kit for $500 atm - seems like a pretty good deal.

foznice - if i get rid of the bar, you'll be first on my list

    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
    • Wasn't there a thread on this very subject just a few weeks ago?
    • Hi all! Looking to relocate the battery to the trunk of an R34 GTT. I want to do it using as many stock GTR components as I can (including the harness protectors from the 34 GTR that run underneath along the chassis to the engine bay). So far I’ve purchased the battery tray from a 33 GTR, as the captive weld nuts are already there just asking to be used. There is also the slight issue of now having to relocate the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU, which in GTT’s sits right above where the battery will then sit on the tray. Has anyone already achieved this, and if you have any pics that you wouldn’t mind sharing? It would be great to see how others have done it and where you put them, as there are countless holes in the parcel shelf panel to potentially use. Just trying to get some ideas bounced around, and to help uncover any potential problems I may encounter by  my choice of location. TIA for any help!
    • Brand was ard.   I also threw a brand new battery at it and beefed up the wire from the alternator to battery and added an extra earthing point from the battery
