G4 Coilovers - Anyone Have Them? Review?

OK, I just ordered a set of the Street-spec ones this morning - should be here pretty quickly!

So this weekend looks like a DIY Suspension install

Have had street spec's on my S15 for over a month now.

It's the first set of coilovers I've had on a car i've driven and they are pretty damn stiff.

Front: 8.7 Kg/mm

Rear: 7.2 Kg/mm

I wouldn't say they are really streetable taking all the roads I drive on into consideration.

I wasn't aware you could get varying spring rates when I purchsed em so I'm regretting not getting them slightly softer.

I'll be interested here your thoughts...

Yeah those spring rates are pretty damn hard for a street S15. You can still buy springs from them separately. The thing is, would the shock still be appropriately valved for say, 4kg/3kg F/R springs?

The spring rates in themselves don't mean that much without knowing how much compression damping there is.

For example, my car's OEM spring rates in kg/mm are 5.6 / 6.1 F/R.

My Tein Flex run 12kg springs, and on single bumps the car's ride is a lot better and softer than OEM. Of course, if I hit a corrugated road the car is a lot more fidgety, but you wouldn't believe that the spring rates are 150% stiffer than stock by riding in it.

Yeah that is true too. In my daily the shocks are stupidy stiff yet the springs are soft as. And it judders just as bad as my 200SX which has significantly harder springs. Funny I can push down on the front of my daily very easily where as the 200, I can't even push it down 1mm!
