Rattle is not “brand” dependant. Most of the brands have “competition” multiplates that rattle and “road” multiplates that don’t. The difference is the “road” ones have bevel springs on the clutch plates and the intermediate plates, that press against the cage. This stops the clutch plates and the intermediate plates from rattling when there is no load on them. Obviously the “road” multiplates cost more as they have more components. Plus they seem to charge more than parts cost, just because they can advertise no rattling as a benefit.

:D cheers

just wondering after all the discussions on twin plate clutches, ive heard some brands dont rattle at all when u press the clutch in.

ive been told the nismo ones dont rattle is this correct? and what other brands are the same?

i can tell you for sure that new nismo ones can definetly rattle :)

We run an OS Giken twin plate. It came with the car and I dont know if its got solid or sprung plates but its like a switch. Ive run a load of clutches including other OS twin plates and a range of paddles and this is genuingly like a switch. Quiet though, no rattling.

Anyone running an ORC? Theyre good money
