Has anyone ever fitted a sports steering wheel to a R33 series 2? If you have how do you stop the airbag warning flashing a fault?

I dunno about Tas, but you're not allowed to remove an airbag in NSW.

IMO the Series II airbag wheel is very nice! dunno why you'd want to take it off, but each to there own.

i know it's illegal in NSW to take it off like Timmy G said, not sure bout Tas either.. worth finding out thou

Im pretty sure Unique Auto Sports sell the BossKit for it that u need, pretty expensive thou - bout 300 i think, then add the price of the aftermarket wheel = bloody expensive! just keep the factory one!

autospeed sell the boss kit that will go on there and not cause a fault airbag light to come on the dash, and not cause an eror when u do a diagnostics test

only prob is the horn is a bitch to wire in the skylines.. auto elec put a sep button on the dash for me.. yes inanst is right... only other prob is that hicas light still seems to come on at speeds above 80kmh sometimes.

Already have a wheel from a previous ride & turned up a boss that takes care of HICAS, just need to take care of the light & he, rules are made to be broken.

Isn't it one of the ADRs that you can't remove an airbag?

Like the cops are going to know that u'r car came with an airbag: "Officer, I think that was an option, I bought the car like this".

I was going to do the same thing with my series 1 as a mate had a spare series 2 airbag wheel, apparenlty the clips at the back are different... could be wrong tho.

it will bolt to a 200sx s14a, but not sure on series 1 r33

it should go on any r33 gtst being series 1 or II
