High Beam

in my 1997 GTSt sedan

when i flick forward to high beam there is a quick flash of hibeam, i hear a click in the engine bay (at the same time) and then light returns to low beam

i tested the voltage off the battery and it seems fine, any idea's ?

And if you hold the stick towards you, do they stay on?

They probably run off a relay somewhere in your fusebox in the engine bay, but I doubt you'd be able to hear it click from within the car, so i'd suggest a nasty short somewhere.

Failing this, a faulty indicator stalk (do my suggested test first)

or a faulty relay (easily changed)

when i pull it towards me it does the same, the high beam inicator on the dash still lights up aswell, i will check the relay today some time, thanks
