basically, the thread will be packed full of dirt and little rocks and crap. take the coilover out of the car.

get some soap, like clothes powder. sprinkle it on the thread, and grab some steel wool. and scrub the thread as close to the seat as possible.

I did it on mine, and the bucket had heaps of grit in the bottom. then spray wd 40 on the seat and thread and maybe tap it with a hammer.

once it gets lose, disasemble it, then clean the thread on the seat and the rest of the coilover. will be like new.
