Hi guys, pardon me for being a newbie. Just bought a R33 series 2, comes with a standard headunit from Jap. I am thinking of putting a single din gauge cluster at the location of the A/C unit and have the A/C unit at the middle and lastly locate a new head unit at the very bottom. is that possible? anyone done that before?

any input would be useful. cheers

possible, but not really easy. the dash sorta curves at the top the the ac goes, and ud have 2 chop it... other than the cosmetic work, yes u cud

How about leaving the A/C unit as it is and have the gauge cluster in the middle (Like the GTR) and head unit at the bottom. Do i need to relocate the sterro bracket for that?

nope. will fit straight in. use 2 5/8 guages ,a bit of steel plate bent to suit the area and a bit of angle cut pvc pipe and you have it.

thanks Roger, however how do i get the head unit clamp on the bottom section? would it be just sitting there without any part secured to the dash?

If you where to purchase a R33 GTR A/C control unit, it will fit in the middle as it does not have the corner missing like the Gts-t's.

You can even buy the GTR three gauge cluster and have it modified with your gauges of choice, inserted. This would also maintain the OEM look.

Don't think it is really that hard.

The Factory head unit has a plate on either side that can also screw into you new head unit.
