Now i know this may seem like a weird question,

Generally speaking. Would a twin exhaust of say 2.5" or one 3.0" flow more? And which would eb quiter.

I know there are considerations of bends/mufflers. But with most things being equal.

I mean the area of a 2.5" circle is 19.63 and a 3.0 is 28.26

I knwo there will be lots and lots of people who decide to laught etc. at this post. But i hope you get my drift.

Well any input would be helpful.

Thanks

a twin 2.5 has greater area than 3" and a is a touch bigger than 3.5", but this isn't to say that it will flow more. you'd really need to talk to someone who knows what they are talking about, but i think that the air in the twin system would be travelling slower than the 3.5".

noise wise the twin pipes is going to be much quieter as it would be having twice the mufflers.
