fuel cut defender gets rid of rich and retard mode. it regulates the voltage to the ecu from the afm, but unlike a piggy back which just alters the signal, this lets it climb normally untill it gets to a certain point then stops it dead. to use them safely you need a fuel computer as well (not an air/fuel computer like a safc, but a fuel computer like the microfueler, or a haltech)
