I did the drive in my fixed back Momo, i find it more comfortable then the std seat. I should be a goer for this. Most interested in a open day at Wakefield, and anything at Eastern. The ARDC have open days in Fridays as well, actually there is one on the 10th Nov

Brisby - if you read my very first post you will see that this is the Eastern Creek Day we are doing.....

Ok - since this is really taking off I have another question for everyone. How many people want to do the hill climb and how many would rather just do the 2 track days?

The reason being is that obviously the weekend of the 4-5 does have MAS + also that weekend the club has also been looking at doing a seperate Road Trip to the Great Alpine Road in conjunction with the WRX Club.

So instead of driving up on the Saturday and staying 7 nights in NSW we could drive up on the Tuesday and just stay 4 nights. Then if anyone wants to do MAS they can then meet us on the Tuesday - or if anyone wants to play up the hills for a few days then we have a large chunk of the drive to NSW already done come Tuesday.

Or we can just stick to the plan.

Thoughts?

    • Last year I got a set of MCA street coilovers for my turbo Forester after my son hitting a concrete gutter/wall on a small bridge causing the whole drivers side suspension to get bent because the rain just made the car slide out I love them, I think they were $2400. even had a hiccup of have the wrong hub configuration (my fault) so got onto MCA and they sent the correct shock ends overnight parts from QLD, for free!  I was very impressed with their customer service and quality of the product
    • They've had some weird failures on their brake actuators. One of them was because they added some kind of lubricant to the factory fill brake fluid that aftermarket brake fluid didn't have so it would affect the seals. Another was just mysterious, probably internal corrosion or something eating away at Prius brake actuators. Parts alone for those are a few thousand USD so not a cheap fix.

    • KYBs are typically twin tube, putting them in the lower tier of desireability. Do you just want to replace worn out ones for the lowest cost? I mean, you wouldn't just replace one end of a car, if the rears are a similar age to the fronts, then they are probably nowhere near what they should be, and likely won't be great against brand new fronts. So, to spend ~$800 on 2nd tier dampers, when you could get a decent set of MCA coilovers for <$4k.....? As to the strut tops. 1st up, the Sparesbox site specifically tells you that they are not correct for an R33. Beyond that, why do you think you need them?
