Yeah,

Bayside Blue is by far my favorite color for the R34 series and it certainly is eye-catching. It took me ages to find a GT-V in that color. (they're quite rare and the color is in demand) Like I said, it was mainly the GTR's that were available in B-Blue, which works in my favor - most people seeing my car for the first time (or driving past me) think it IS A GTR, just because of the color!:P:(

Of course, anyone with even a little bit of knowledge about Skylines will pretty soon spot that it isn't a GTR, but still...

BTW - what is SAU? If you're refering to the forum, then I found it by following a link on the British GTR register (I'm a Brit living in Japan)

The Kakimoto is a great exhaust. It is a special version for N/A. It doesn't drone that much, but it can be a little loud (though its a matter of opinion), so I usually drive around with the extra baffle fitted in the tail...

Cheers

Dave

Hey Nismodified, why are you buying a jap brand cat?

isent it cheaper to get a localy made item?

id love a A'PEXi exhaust system tho... but short on funds :D

Also... how many of us here with N/A lines have a jap exhaust compared to a localy made exhaust? also... what size are they? im getting a 2.25" front to back... is this a wise choise?

I got a catback lukey muffler and it makes the sweetest sound, i hate big bore cannon mufflers, they SUCK. and yeah why get a jap exhaust when the aussies make tough exhausts that make superb sound. mine is 2.5" i think, thats what the standard muffler was connected to as well form the extractors

i went for jap, because im a bit paranoid about making sure i get some power from the exhaust.

nothing in life is certain, but at least using jap settles my nerves a bit.

any way, i bought a 2nd hand jap cat for a good deal off a mate.

If i had a turbo, i wouldnt worrry as much about where to get my exhaust done.

currently, i have on a 2 3/4" 5zigen, it has a muffler as big as the stock muffler, one resonator. 3.5-4" tip.

very nice grumble while driving along, dead shit quiet after 3000rpm and at idle.

drony at 1900rpm-2900rpm

power seems to pick up well at about 4000rpm, it took me awhile to get used to the noise but i love it !

I've got a R32 GTS25 2 Door...

2 1/2 inch exhaust with Kobe Extractors and resonators

GTSt 'Type M' Brakes (5 stud conversion) 17" Wheels

GTSt Viscous LSD

Currently fitting side skirts, and tossing up between putting a RB30 bottom end, or a RB25DET to get more horsepower

Currently 150kw at the engine

kobe extractors? Was that locally made or is that a Japanese made unit?

if you do proceed with the Rb30/rb25t conversion, i am very interested in purchasing your extrators.

I bought them from NZ, and put them on 3 months ago. I've been stoked with them. To be honest I wasn't expecting a noticable improovement, but the torque increase is great. I will be happy to palm them off to you, when I go ahead with the RB25DET conversion.

Guest R33Glenn

lolzz...nismoman18, the nissan designers must have a short memory span, and your R33 looks dam sweet! talking of things in the boot compartment, i found some small Japanese fireworks and a old japanese lolly wrapper this morning, would of gave me a dam fright if those fireworks went off some how :P

with the badges, i also have red ones, i heard that i was sposed to have blue badges so i dunno..,. Also i was talking to someone about the battery thing and apparently its for better weight distribution (spelling) but i cant see how the weight of the battery could effect the handeling that much..... but yeah either way.
