Gasket are relatively cheap and can be easily made if required. IMHO it would be wise to replace gaskets when you've spent that much money for labour cost of installing turbos. It won't be fun paying all those labour cost again a few weeks/months after a turbo swap, because you were trying to save a bit money for exhaust gaskets in the first place.

Basically, there are two types of gaskets. A solid metal one and a thin metal with goo sandwitched between.

When I took the dump off, I was prepared to change the gasket, since my time is worth more than the $5 it cost me to buy a gasket. But it turns out, that it actually had a very nice solid metal one, not that flimsyu sandwitch gasket.

I kept the orignal one which was better. I guess it depends what yours looks like when you take it off.
