How To Fit A Snowboard In A Coupe

K so im going away for a few days tomorrow and my snowboard wont fit in my car(r32 Coupe). I need the back seat free for a person and front passenger seat free to. It wont fit in the boot or sideways in the back of the car, the only way i managed to fit it was diagonally from roof to floor in the back, which i cant do coz no one will fit. So is there some cheap roof racks to fit these things? That are readily available? How has any one else fit there board in there car? Its about 160 centimetres.

My racks were about $250 brand new - Thule brand - but they always have second hand and rental ones.

BTW - R33 owners: I still have my roof racks from the GT-R. Perfect for snowboards.

Welcome for anyone to borrow if you are heading to the snow. Suit ALL R33 2-doors and leave NO marks on the car.

Forgot to mention im on a tight budget, probably cant afford to buy new racks

Edit - Some to fit a r32 coupe, for 3 days hire is $50, pretty good.

I fit 2 snowboards in the back of the GTR... can't remember how now, was in the back, i thought i had them standing up/sliding under the front seat... to the back windscreen (be careful not to wreck your rear demister, i put towels or something soft on the end of the board)....

but maybe i did have to have it diag across the back seat....

Thats the only problem with Skylines... the engineers forgot to add 60/40 rear split seats!

I did manage to fit my rather large mountain bike into the back seats, minus the wheels.

Try gettin some soft racks from a surf shop or something. Its just a couple of foam pads u sit on ur roof with straps to hold them and ur snowboard on! I use em 4 my surf board if i have passengers!

maybe hire a board for $50 for a w/end and save urself the hassle.

I'm in the same boat next week. Except my snowboard is 146cm long. It's a shorty. Bought it when I was 12. Had it for like 8-9 years. Hope it fits in the boot.

hmm Managed to get it stuck in !! The back of it is just off the rear window and the front of it is resting in between the two front seats with enough room to shift (but not much else more) Won't be doing any fast accelerating with in in place though thats for sure, gonna have to jam it in with a heap of crap!

With conditions what they are, I reckon I'd just hire a board rather than destroy mine.
