Discs For R33 Gtr

Hi Guys,

My front discs are running low on the GTR, i will need to get new discs. Car will be used for track/street use. What discs do you guys recommend to buy. A rough price estimate would be great. I had just purchased the Ferodo P2500's as well.

DBA 4000 series. a good rotor for street and occaisional club track day. cost not 100% sure but around $200 each.

DBA4000 aren't bad.... think i paid about $400 for a set of fronts.... pretty cheap!

Yeah thats what i'm leaning towards. 5000 Series would be great, but i guess a lot more in price.

i've got a set of used 5000s for sale, pm me if you're interested. discs have less than 5000km on them. can do a good price on a set of EBC Greenstuff also.

Isn't the only real difference between 5000 and 4000 that the 5000 come with those hats, so you can replace the disc a bit cheaper?

As you say the hats are seperate so the disc is a floating disc on the 5000's. This also allows far better heat dissipation as well as replacing only the rotor and bolts as opposed to the entire disc and hat.

Big tip is (if using the 4000's), never get the cross drilled if you are taking them onto the track.

I had some put on (at the recommendation of the supplier) and shattered both front rotors on my second run. 5000's have been pretty good so far.

I'll have to shop around and see the best price available on the 5000's. Ferni, i remember u mentioned some good deals with UAS. Any chance of getting a price on the 5000's mate?

Or if anyone else knows of any cheap suppliers for them.
