Hi guys.

Was washing my car yesterday (with a damn butcket - water restrictions) and noticed that my tailgate looks like it sits too high - the tail-lights dont line up and such. Have noticed that oxfords yellow S@ and humzees dark blue S1 have the same thing going on. Which is in part a relief, cos i was stressin about it a lil.

Have also noticed that even though my bonnet lines up well down each side, and the headlights sit well, there is a big gap between the bonnet and the top of the grille. I figured it may just be the aftermarket front bar, but lookin at old photos, still a gap, though not as bad.

Anyone else seen similar?

Any fixes?

In most of the ads it says "no major accident damage". What about "Minor

accident damage", hence minor misalignment.

My S1 is not bad. The compliancer said, "It's one of the straightest I've seen"

The RWC guy was also impressed with it"s straightness.

The only collywob I can see is the vertical part of the lower tailgate is 2mm

wider on the passenger side up to the tail lights.

The other thing I noticed today is just how smooooooooth the 25det idles.

I'm doing some electronics at the moment and a glass of drink on the coil pitcover had hardly a ripple. I am very impressed the more I get into the Stag.

It sounds like the car got sandwiched in and accident or it could be 2 different accidents

thanks for that, beavis.

Car has never been in an accident. Anyone that knows how i got my car knows that.

Ive been looking around and it seems that almost every stagea has this. its not one side higher than the other or anything. top of the tailgate is flush with the roof, rear bar and taillights sit fine, just the tail-lights on the tailgate and those on the car sit at slightly different heights. may have been a design slip or something. Sorta freaked out about til i saw that its more common than not, s2's as well as s1's.

There wouldnt be any way to fix it, cos lining up the lights would just put something else out of whack.
