Hi there ,

I took off the cover and blah :D

How can you have a harness looking like a dogs breakfast.

Anyway ,does anyone know what sort of products are available to prevent heat from getting

to the wires and do i take the black insulation off or wrap something around it.

Nissan obviously did not think we would see that crap.

Yeah put the plastic cover back on. Thats why its made out plastic. Ever wondered why nissan didnt make it a metal cover....?

Most people drive without it on, apparently this is to help the coils ,

Anyway still hasn't help me. But thanks for the comment...

cut holes in the cover to release the heat and mesh the holes over.....did mine and looks sweet! and gets rid of over heating on my spitfire coils!

Well then know one knows, ill have to get an auto elec. to work on it then.

Thanks for the replies though

Ya.. Mines aluminium...

so is mine.

u can get vented ones for about $120 if ur really keen. Or just leave it off. But with the S1s they have an igniter that sits on the cover so u will have to mount this somewhere...thats what I am doing sooner...or later

I took mine off yesterday after installing the splitfires - i'm not gonna let what happened to my stockies happen to them.

I took to the cover with a hacksaw, cut it off just infront of the ignitor so it sits in there fine and the 6th coil still gets pleanty of turbulent air for cooling.
