Ive bought a 33 gtr vsepc in sydney and am bringing it up to townsville once Hills Motorsport get me my magic numbers at the wheels. I was wondering if anyone here in townsville knows of any "modification friendly" transport approval stations that are a bit more lenient when issuing safety certs????

Dont know about townsville but I just got a little Blue Slip from a guy in the phone book. It cost me an extra 80 $ for him to approve it without the VIN number attached to the car and no cluth or brakes to speak of. * I had just had the car painted and its brakes and Clutch will be done on monday :(

In QLD, most approved inspections stations are located in petrol garages,

And if your looking for lenient AIS, you might get away with getting a road worthy, but are the cops goin to be as lenient when ya get pulled over??

And defects are from $75

Then if its a major defect you'll have to take ya car in to be put under the pits at qld transport, to make sure it is roadworthy, and inspection and booking fee is around 75 bucks as well i think.
