Does anybody know how well the rb20 boxes hold up with a bit of power behind them? I read somewhere (commodore forum or something) that they take 140rwkw, and this guy has 187rwkw and is complaining that it's not coping real well...

Is this true? i've seen some dyno results of these motors, 200rwkw+ seems to be the norm for a mildly tuned motor, and i assume they're still using the stock boxes..

Mine has been holding together fine with about 240rwkw, it now has a bit more power so we'll see, though i am starting to hear a bit of input shaft noise. The box is close to 180k old too.

Does the guy with 187 have it behind an rb20 or 30? The torque will be what kills it.
