ok...i just had a big nite out - so i think i talk more sense now than when im normal....hmmm

anyway id suggest turning ur cat back into a turbo back. ask BATMBL about his s/steel split dump/front pipe and large cat - he might have a group buy soon. Next id probably go front mount intercooler. Those along with ur k&n pod will have a significant increase in power. Change ur K&N to an Apex-i pod - that will be a better one to use.

you are probably looking at a power of about 170 rwkws. Add to that an after market ecu (i know nothing about these yet - im doing my research still) u should be nearing the 190rwkws - but i believe when u get one of these u need a tune up. To hit the 200+ rwkws u can boost ur turbo a bit - but this will probably shorten the life of the turbo.

But please take this in - with that power increase, you are looking at a pretty god damn fast car. Drive it carefully. Make the necessary adjustments to ensure that there is plenty of grip and dont do anything rash on the roads.

Lastly - this is what i have read, i dont know if those figures are exact - the other more experienced guys can verify if i am correct or not.

Edit: max turbo boost i believe is 15psi. I am gonna leave mine stock, but looking to invest in an Apex-i pod, FMIC by the end of this year.

a comment from the side bench. max power is simply that, a given power figure at any one point. too many see this as the most important part. average power makes a car fast not peak power. you should focus more on average power. a stand alone ecu tuned correctly will win hands down over a piggyback in a comprmise tune.

Hey Guys

I Just got my tuned and dynoed

Dyno Graph Attached

No Mods to talk about

Turbosmart Boost Valve

K&N Pod

3" cat back which need front pipe change to the cat

what would you guys think i would need interms of mods

to hit 200rwkw or 220rwkw

cheers :):D:(

i got 221.7 rwkw, i have exhaust, fmic, k&n pod, boost contr, 12.5 psi.

i got 169 rwkw before fmic, pod filter, and boost controler were installed.

so i got a pretty decent gain from my mods. i was happy indeed. the car is a 94r33 gtst

you must have got the same guy that dyno'd my car....throw that printout in the bin and get someone competent to do it...there's no way your car made anywhere near that figure with those mods :)

my mods -

PowerFC

FMIC

Full Exhaust

Tune = 210rwkw.

Anyone that says you can make over 150rwkw WITHOUT an aftermarket fuel controller or ecu, is full of shit.

thats a bit low....with full exhaust, a fmic and some boost (10ish psi) you'd be over 150rwkw without any drama....ill go out on a limb and say that full 3" exhaust on a healthy 33 GTS-T will be 150+rwkw

220rwkw is just a little far fetched... to the tune of about 30-40rwkw

Anyways, nezsaz - What is your budget. You need to set a $$$ figure that you have to spend then see what parts do and dont fit into your aim

I am trying to spend around anothe $2000-$4000 but not at once

i am still a uni student soo when i save up a bit i do bit of a mod

i am not in a hurry to get to the 200rwkw mark i think i will be

happy when i get there since after the tune even though it was

about 30kw different in power i def felt the difference soo i think

that 60kw i am after would be good enough for every day rd car

given the car already is a hand full in wet weather heheeh i am in melbourne

soo as you know weather wise we never know!!!!!!

if you want 190-200rwkw

you'll need

full 3" turbo back exhaust

front mount (or decent side mount)

s-afc or full stand alone ECU

boost controller of some sort

a mate of mine on here has those mods (s-afc) and a gtr fuel pump, and just got it tuned at 192rwkw .

the $2k-$4k will easily cover stage 1 mods! That being - full exhaust, pod, FMIC, ecu (with tune) and boost controller. (i think thats all isnt there?)

Do the basics first. E.g I have just put on the exhaust, next is pod and FMIC - should get me some good power gain. Do them first, then get the ecu etc. thats my opinion though.

Hmmmm, i wouldn't go that far.

I got 190 with FMIC, boost to 12 (bleeder), full zorst, pod filter.

...then got the Power FC installed/tuned.

went to 194 but the whole midrange thing is fantastic !

Yeah so did mine, but as soon as i got the result i didnt get excited because i knew it was inflated. So i went to a different dyno to find the truth.

I recon you guys should do the same.

lol so the 1 that said it was over 150rwkw was wrong, and the 1 that said it was under was right...

interesting theory, given the fact that a 187kw engine in the R33's would put them out at around the 140rwkw area stock....but yeah, definitely impossible to make over 150rwkw without fuel management

:P

Yeah they might have come out with 187kw at the fly, but that was 13 years ago man. Alot can happen to a 13yr old engine..

I knew for a fact that the dyno i first had it ran at is happy because all of my mates have had theirs run on it, and they've all been run at other dynos and consistently scored 10kw+ lower then the original figure.

Let those 220kw+ skylines with just a FMIC and boost controller line up against a skyline with a proven 220kw and we'll see what happens.
