You Oz guys seem to be pushing the R33 GTSTs further than anyone else so Im asking for your help. I bought an R33 GTST recently. It came partially modded but we always want more so Im taking power mods upto to:

PFC

740 Nismo injectors

Nismo fpr

Nismo fuel pump

Apexi filter

Tomei Poncams

Trust 1.8mm head gasket

Greddy intercooler

Greddy plenum

Exhaust

Greddy TD06-25G

OS Giken twin plate

Greddy rad

Oil cooler

All the bits are there to run 450+rwhp bar the bottom end. The cars going to be used on track so we arent talking 12 seconds track runs or the occasional road blast. We are talking half an hour of sustained caining.

What power will be safe for the occasional blast down the strip, road or power run and whats going to be safe for 30 mins of redline action? :(

haha.. i'd be wanting a forged bottom end if its goin to get a constant caining for that long.. also in the list there you havent specified a computer? i assume you've already got a powerfc? if so.. i'd throw in a q45 or z32 afm in there aswell..

the best person i'd say to ask about setting up a gtst for track work would be sydneykid.. send him a pm or.. he'll most likely find his way to this thread sometime during the day i'd assume?

I'd drop the head gasket and plenum myself, leave the stock gasket to maintain your compression at this stage, and the plenum can come later as you won't benefit hugely at this stage, though there will be a reasonable improvement in throttle response depending on the layout of your pipework atm.

Around 270rwkw is fairly safe with a stock bottom end provided you keep the boost below 20psi or so, so the valves don't float and keep the peak revs around 7000 so you don't throw a rod. And be a bit conservative on the timing as sustained detonation at those sort of levels will kill the engine in about 2 seconds flat.

The cars running a Power FC and Ive got a Z32 afm for it :(

I went with the thicker head gasket to help prevent det, is this not a good idea on the RB25?

270rwkw is around 360rwhp?

Cheers for the info guys :)
