Hi.

OK... i drive a series 2 33.

The Handling is a bit heavy.. i want to improve the handling, make it handles like it's on rail..sort of speak...

what do i need to do?

My car is already lowered with japs adjustable shocks.. it's very hard..

i probally will need a front struc bar (got one at the back).. where do i get one? anyone got one laying around that they want to sell?

but what else do i need..

on a different topic..

my car was dyno at 164KW ( or $174KW can't remember) at the wheel with only mod being 3in full exhaust with split dump and hi flow air filter (stock box)..the power curve is very smooth..

which i though is abit strange..

is that the sort of power for this kind of mod? or is the dyno machine stuffed?

get front and rear adjustable swaybars and castor and camber bushes.

more castor and more camber will help a fair bit.

and the swaybars will control your roll more.

that power is about right.

Tyre choice has a great affect on cornering speed

Castor Bracing, Strut Brace, Engine Brace reduces chasis flex, suspension geometry changes and to certain extent body roll.

Suspension adjustment on the following parameters might help

Adjustable Tie End Rods -- Toe & Steering Lock

Adjustable Upper Arms -- Camber

Adjustable Castor Rods -- Castor

Adjustable Sway Bars -- Body Roll

I hope somebody here could recommend the settings cause Im also looking into this at the moment

Its amazing what you can learn from playing hours and hours of Gran Tourismo 4 ahhahaha

SK group buy thread seems to have a lot of info on some of items that might help, be worthwhile to check it out

Same car here r33 gtst, trying to get it to handle for the street...

getting lowered springs, front/rear sway bars put in,

what else should I replace? was thinking castor & camber bushes? if so what material type?

or

adjustable caster rods? how would they help?

Dont go too low when you set things up, makes wet weather driving real interesting if things are to heavy & suspension isnt set right, ie sway bars 26F, 24R however if you do a bit of driftin those bars are the goods, street I would prob rec. 24F, 22R & low springs all round not superlow on front & low on rear as Kings would have you buy

swaybrs will clean up your cars handling to no end. The factory camber and castor rods will be able to cope as long as you arent ridiculously low and will have enough adjustment to get a good result.

spend a few hundred on selbys or whiteline bars and you are pretty much there.

1. Replace anything that's worn out (tie rods, bushes etc)

2. Definitely sway bars.

3. Are you sure the ride height, alignment and corner weights are ok? If not get them done as well.

4. Think about softer suspension - some of the jap stuff is too stiff and will cause you to loose traction if you hit a bump mid corner. Softer should give you a better ride of course. Post up the specs of your coils in SK's spring rate thread to see where your at, and take it from there.

5. Dont forget tyres...
