Balance setting on GReddy Profec B

I was advised when I bought my car that I shouldn't play with the balance setting on the Profec B EBC. Why? I can't remember what reason I was given at the time.

The Balance dial goes from mild to sharp (on mild at the moment), does anyone know why I would be told "don't touch"?

Can I damage the turbo or wastegate actuator by turning it up to sharp?

If it's relevant I have stock turbo but with a big FMIC.

Still not massively enlightened over how it effects the boost in a general sense.. can you use it to up the response?

Guess you don't want the boost spiking up massively before it holds it at the set figure though, especially if you're running pretty high boost already.

when i changed it on my car, i noticed that boost hit much harder when set to sharp. When on mild it seems to allow a bit of wastegate creep...

Maybe it is to set how 'agressive' the solanoid will bring boost on?

Problem with this is if boost comes on too hard and fast...then you get spike as it can't open up wastegate fast enough.

no idea... all i know is the car is more fun when set closer to sharp!!! lol
