Hi All,

I'm Gerard, I used to own a Nissan Gazelle, till about the end of may when the engine died!

Since i've organised myself an R33 Gts-t, which came into Sydney over the weekend.

So looks like its probably going to be about another 3 weeks or so till I can actually get it, but I just wanted to say g'day to everyone!

Everyday is getting more exciting with its impending arrival, especially considering it has well more than double the Gazelles power output! (not saying its anything special, its just the gazelle was a good car, but hardly a sports car!)

Heres a few pics of it in the Japanese Auction yards. Let me know what you think!?

Its going to be great to finally join the club in skyline ownership! See you all around the Forum.

Cheers,

Gerard

Gerard - thats one bloody nice looking skyline! Love the wheels! Do you have the specs for your car (ie mods etc)? Im keen to see what tis got. How much you pay for it?

looking very nice! The best part is washing and vacumming the car man - its such a joy to see a nice ride looking spotless!

Enjoy the car!

Again, thanks for all you comments.

emsta2003, I saw these wheels on another Skyline on the Prestige Motorsport website and thought they were awesome. I was actually going to see if I could get a pair after I got the r33. The original pics I saw before I bought it weren't great quality and didn't realise they were the same. So when I got the pics above to find that it had as set I was bloody wrapped!

As for mods, I think it just has a cat-back, airpod and turbo-timer... I still haven't got the car, and Im expecting a call today from the Compliance Shop today, they should be able to tell me everything its has.

I'm hoping that it will be done by the end of the week, so I can get it on this weekends Sydney Spirit. If its not, then I'm going to have to wait another 2 weeks after that.

As for the cost, all up I'm expecting it to cost about $19,500. Still waiting on final costs from the Compliance Shop.

I did pay about $600 more for the car than it should have cost, due to the exchange rate on the day I transfered the money to japan. So if anyone is looking to privately import a car, check that on the day you do the TT. I had been checking it, but I was just so excited that I just bought a Skyline I transfered the money as soon as I could.

$600 could have got me a turbo back, with money left over....

Gday guys,

I posted up yesterday, but it seems to have disappeared with all the issues...

I finally got my R33 on monday!!!

Let me just say that Skylines, are flipping AWESOME!! never driven a car that is so fun.

All I have to do now is figure how to put the damned number plate on the front, and give it a good bloody clean. Theres is this dark oily crap all over it (I think it might have been sprayed on, when it came from japan, but who knows)...

Anyways, just thought i'd follow this up, and let yous know.

See yous around!

Hey mate

glad to hear that you finally got the car and you are happy with it (sounds like your over the moon)

As for the oily crap it would of been spraid for quarinteen when it came in (if it is this then your best bet is to go to shiners to use there cleaning bay :D then you can either finish it off there or take it home for a good hand wash and then polish (the joys of owning a car!!!)

As for the number plate on the front well you should just be able to use some 10MM bolts to screw it straight into the front bar (should be a support) and then your ready to take your first big cruise (i suggest a trip to Orford :O

Look forward to seeing you around with the new toy

GMB

Cheers, Todd

I had the day off yesterday so I got in and washed the bitch up. Apart from chiseling the paint off the windows which was fun..... I was really surprised at how easy it was to clean, and hardly took any time. The wheels took me 5 mins max each and were done in one go, which is a huge step up from the 15mins each and 2 to 3 goes on the mags on my mums car.

I fixed up some brackets so that i didn't have to cut the front number plate up and it fits really well, needs a little adjustment and it will be done.

    • Ok awesome! I’m not running a aac/iacv (although I do have the r34 iacv but I’m running the heater core loop. I’m running the chase bays booster delete so In that case would I need to block off those posts? So at the moment I need to run from one of the posts to the fpr and then a separate post to the boost controller then to the wastegate? Also I’m assuming that each port has a specific use like the first one farthest to the left would be (for example) manifold to fpr and then second would be to boost controller?
    • I was just going through this on Neil's car (33 gtst). Assuming you are using standard AAC and Cold start valves, you need Post Turbo Pre throttle to Boost Controller (if you have one) then to Turbo Wastegate Pre throttle to AAC input AAC input T piece to Cold start input Cold start output to plenum post throttle AAC Output to plenum post throttle AAC Output to brake booster (needs a 1 way valve) Plenum post throttle to Fuel Pressure Regulator Plenum post throttle to Blow off valve signal Plenum post throttle to Boost controller input (if you have one)
    • I’m trying to figure out the purpose of these fittings. Assuming they’re for coolant but not sure where the lead to. I know the bigger one on the right (which isn’t filled) is the brake booster. If anyone has a photo of a diagram of this intake or has a set of instructions it’d be greatly appreciated
    • How much is that r32? Is that $170k or $1.7m
    • Ahhh! My silly brain was thinking Nissan started selling them straight away, but they waited w or three years didn't they?   Maybe Duncan should build an R35 race car over the V37... There's a cheap yellow one on car sales Duncan, would only need your splash of purple added...
